Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We have gathered the questions that come up most often during survey visits, with our answers. Product-specific questions are answered separately at the end of each product page.

Choosing a System

Which system suits my terrace?

The decisive question is whether the space will also be used in winter. If shade and rain protection are all you need, a bioclimatic pergola fits. If you are after economical shading, a motorised pergola awning is the choice. If you want the sky to open completely, you need a rolling roof.

If wind is also to be stopped, a zip screen is added. If the space is to be heated in winter, guillotine glass, sliding glass or a winter garden is required.

What is the difference between a bioclimatic pergola and a motorised awning?

A bioclimatic pergola has a roof of aluminium louvres that forms a watertight surface when closed. On a motorised awning the roof is fabric, gathered by a motor. The awning is more economical; the bioclimatic system is more durable and clearly better at keeping water out.

Guillotine glass or sliding glass?

On narrow, long balconies sliding glass suits better; on tall, narrow openings guillotine glass does. A guillotine system leaves the opening entirely clear when open; with sliding glass the panels take up space along one edge, but you can open the system partially.

Price and Quotation

Why is there no ready price list?

Every project differs in dimensions, system type, profile section, level of automation and installation conditions. Two installations of the same area can cost noticeably differently because of access difficulty and structural requirements. A firm figure only follows an on-site measurement.

Is the survey chargeable?

No. In central Antalya and the surrounding districts the on-site survey, measurement and 3D design are free. If you do not approve the quotation, nothing is owed — and the 3D design is still shared with you.

What affects the price most?

The choice of system. There is a several-fold cost difference between a zip screen and a winter garden. Once the system is settled, the size and span, profile wall thickness, level of automation, lighting and installation conditions follow in that order.

Warranty and Maintenance

Are your products under warranty?

Yes. The system as a whole carries a 2-year warranty. The motor and mechanical parts, the louvres or fabric, and the powder coating are covered for 5 years. Installation workmanship is covered separately.

Warranty terms can vary by product; the specification table on each product page states the figures for that system.

Is it hard to maintain?

The aluminium structure does not rust or rot. On a bioclimatic pergola the movement mechanism runs on lubrication-free bearings and needs no periodic greasing. Washing the louvres, tracks and gutter system with water once a year is enough.

On glass systems, cleaning the tracks once a year keeps the panels moving easily. Retracting the awning fabric at the end of the season and storing it dry extends its life markedly.

Who provides after-sales support?

The team that installed your system. You reach the same people with any technical need, and we also offer periodic maintenance.

Permits and Installation

Is building permission required?

Whether a permit is required depends on the nature of the structure, the installation, the planning status of the plot and the assessment of the relevant municipality. Demountable pergolas and shading systems usually do not require one.

If an enclosed, insulated volume is being created — a winter garden, for example — the situation is different and it may count as enclosed floor area. We recommend confirming with the authority before installation; we check this together during the survey.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the system, the dimensions and the ground conditions. A standard residential terrace installation is usually finished in one to two days. Glass systems are mostly done in a single day. The exact duration is stated in the quotation after the survey.

Can the sides of my existing pergola be closed later?

In most cases yes, but the load-bearing sections and connection points of the existing structure have to be examined. A zip screen is the easiest addition; glass systems demand a stronger structure. We assess the existing structure free of charge during the survey.

Manufacturing

Do you manufacture in your own workshop?

Yes. We manufacture in our own workshop in Kepez, Antalya, and install with our own team. That keeps both production quality and after-installation support in one pair of hands.

What materials do you use?

Load-bearing systems use 6063-T6 grade extruded aluminium; glass systems use 6063-T5 grade profiles. The surface treatment is 80–100 micron electrostatic powder coating. The glazing is tempered safety glass or insulated double glazing.
